Dale Bolinger: British nurse arrested for 'plotting kidnap, rape and eating of women'

The 57-year-old was arrested at his home in Canterbury last week along with an unidentified 30-year-old man

Arrested: Dale Bolinger

This is the middle-aged British nurse arrested for allegedly plotting the kidnap, rape and eating of women.
Bespectacled Dale Bolinger, 57, was arrested at his home in Canterbury, Kent, last week along with an unidentified 30-year-old man.
The FBI has accused Valle, 28, of plotting to kidnap two female victims with two 'Internet pals' – including one who used the screen names MoodyBlues and MeatMarketMan.
Sources in the US this week named father-of-two Mr Bolinger as 'MoodyBlues' who was arrested at his end-of-terrace home on Thursday, February 21.
In court in New York evidence was heard that MoodyBlues gave Valle advice on how to batter a woman with a baseball bat and tips on cannibalism in emails and on-line chats.
MoodyBlues was also alleged to have boasted how he once ate a black woman and a five-year-old boy.
US police believe the comments were a fantasy and never carried out, the court heard.
Today the nurse, who is separated from his disabled wife Rosemary, refused to comment on his arrest as he cycled from his home.
Mr Bolinger, who qualified as a nurse in 1979, has photographed himself with a pet snake around his neck for his profile on Facebook.
He lives with son Ricky Bolinger, 30, who describes himself as a poet and performing artist and who was also unavailable for comment.
Mr Bolinger's estranged wife Rosemary, 55, from Eastbourne, East Sussex, said she knew nothing of his arrest when approached.
Mrs Bolinger, who suffers from cerebral palsy, said: “I don’t know anything about the arrest. We are separated.
“I haven’t seen him for over a year. He is my husband in law only.”
However their 26-year-old daughter Laura-Jane, who is her mother's carer, added:” I knew he had been arrested but I did not know what for.”
Today Mr Bolinger's neighbours told how they saw police search his property last week.
One said: "Police came here last week at about seven o'clock in the morning.
“They had police dogs and there were forensic officers and plain clothed detectives.
"They even got shovels out of their van and went into the back garden with them.
"We wondered what on earth was happening. They were there until about ten o'clock at night.”
Another added: “He's very quiet and we think his son lives there with him, and apparently the son's girlfriend was living there too.”
A spokeswoman for the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust confirmed Mr Bolinger was 'employed as a nurse at a hospital in Kent.”
She said he had been suspended from his post pending the police investigation.
A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "Two men aged 57 and 30 from the Canterbury area were arrested on February 21 for conspiracy offences, grooming and the possession of child abuse images.
"The two men are currently on police bail while inquiries continue. Kent Police have been in touch with law enforcement authorities in the United States in relation to this investigation."
