Oscar Pistorius embroiled in legal battle with woman who has accused him of assault

The star athlete is suing his ex-neighbour after she claimed he slammed a door at her during a house party

Charged: Pistorius in court over the death of his girlfriend

Murder suspect Oscar Pistorius is embroiled in a second legal battle - with a woman who has accused him of assault.

The star athlete, who has been charged with murdering his girlfriend, is suing his ex-neighbour Cassidy Taylor-Memmory.
Four years ago she alleged that the Paralympic and Olympic star slammed a door at her during a party at his house.
He was arrested and spent a night in prison but no further action was taken by the police.
Pistorius, 26, reportedly filed a lawsuit, claiming 2.2 million rand (£162,000) in damages and the case is due to be heard in court soon.
But his lawyer Gary Pritchard told Agence France-Presse that he is holding "confidential" talks to settle out of court.
He said: "There are confidential settlement negotiations under way. We are trying to settle outside of court."
Pistorius has said he shot model Reeva Steenkamp believing her to be an intruder at his Pretoria mansion.
